The version for this Douro red wine began in 1949 when the great grandfather of the present owners invested in prime vineyard sites.

The legacy of further investment and expansion during the 1980's gives us mature vines which are on average over twenty years old providing top quality grapes for the production of our red wine.

Pinalta is situated in the Pinhao Valley(Lat 41 11'46 N. Log 7 31'20"W), long associated with quality wine production.
