Overview
SPC410 Optical converter is a universal fiber media converter that provides various conversions between different types of fiber optics. It provides two customizable fixed fiber interfaces that can be customized as per carriers requirements. Generally speaking, SPC410 fiber mode converter can perform conversions from single-mode to multimode fiber optic (mode converter), or from single-strand to dual-strand fiber optic (fiber converter), or between the same fiber optics (fiber repeater). It provides the entire solutions for carriers to connect any of their fiber optics on any conditions. More important, it re-times, re-shapes, and re-amplifies optical signals during its conversion process in order to ensure high signal-to-noise ratio and long transmission distance. Its robustness and dependability has made it widely welcomed and popular with carriers and ISPs. SPC410 can either solely work or in pairs. It is of modular design, which is supposed to be inserted into Spacecom's chassis and locally managed through SNMP agent.
