Preformance/Features
With the air is collected in top of the valve, the pressure rises, when exceed the system pressure, the inner chamber water surface fall, the floater fall too. For normal automatic venting, open bonnet for a slow release of air. A fast release of the air will allow dirt or scale in the water to plug the operating mechanism. The small hole in the side of the cap allows air to escape, then the floater rises and the hole closed. If tighten bonnet, stop discharging. Usually, the bonnet should be open. Also can be matched with shut off valve to enable easy examine and repair.

Application
In HVAC systems, the heated water release some gases such as Hydrogen,Oxygen etc. has bad effect on system and reduce heating effect, if not released in time, it would resulted consequences such as: oxidation lead to corrosion, water circulation blocking lead to radiator not working, noise, vortex cavitation and so on, so air vent valve application is necessary.
Installation
The automatic air venting valve should be installed vertically to ensure the inner floater in vertical.
Better installed with shut-off valve, which can ensure the seal when examine and repair.
Installed in the highest of system, which can improve its effect.
