Thust ball bearing: 

SKF 51104 BEARING single-directino thrust ball bearings is using the design of sustaining the thrust load while high-speed operation . It is consist of  washer shape rings with the ball rolling roller patch. Thrust ball bearings are divided into two types of flat bottom sushion type and self-aligning spherical cushions because of rings is cushion shaped.

Single direction thrust ball bearings can sustained axial loads in one direction, and axial positioning single direction, but must not bear any radial load.
