1.Scope
This standard specifies technical delivery conditions for general purpose welded circular tubes made of stainless ferritic or austenitic steels.Tubes of this kind may be used in construction,or in the food,pharmaceutical and automobile industries,as well as for domestic installations or decorative purposes.
Tubes covered by this standard are designed for an 80% utilization of the design stress in the weld.
2.Concept
Steel with a high resistance to corrosion,generally with a chromium content of at least 10.5%(m/m) and a carbon content not exceeding 1.2%(m/m)
