It is the so-called pre-stressed glass which is realized by thermal processing. Compares with the normal flat glass, the tempered glass has two major advantages:

1 The higher strength: three times higher tensile strength, and five times higher impact resistance;

2 The higher security: no edged pieces for broken articles, thus no harm to people.
