The hexagonal BN ceramic density is small (2.27 g/cm3) hardness is low, can undertake all kinds of mechanical produce, easy to make ceramic components in exact size . By turning, milling, planing, drilling, etc, the products machining precision can reach 0.01 mm.
The hexagonal BN has self-lubricity, can be use for mechanical seal, high temperature solid lubricant, also can be used as padding between metal and ceramic to make bearing. The lubrication performance better than other solid lubricant (molyb denum dioxide, zinc oxide and graphite etc.) in 100 ~ 1250°C air, hydrogen and inert medium.
