Product Introduction:

Applied to grounding device, electroforming copper cladding steel material was originated in America. After the seventies of the last century, with the increasing shortage of copper, copper price rose all the way because European and American countries adopted copper grounding at first. The electroforming copper cladding steel material was widely used by right of its advantages of good conductivity performance, strong decay resistance, great tensile strength and passed the certifications of UL,CE,IEEE standard, BS standard and IEC standard successively. In the eighties of the last century, the material entered China, was successively approved by Sinopec, PetroChina, State Power, etc. and was gradually popularized. In recent years, accidents caused by grounding device faults increased day by day among enterprises of petroleum, electricity, communication and so on, so that great importance was attached to reliability, stability and service life of grounding devices. Therefore, electroforming copper cladding steel gradually substituted the traditional hot galvanized steel and hot fusion welding gradually substituted the traditional electric welding in the construction of grounding devices.

Technical Specification:

1) Thickness of the copper layer is more than 0.254mm(all can be done to your demand)

2) The core steel rod shall have a tensile strength of not less than 580Nm/mm2.

3) The steel core is low carbon steel, and the carbon content is about 0.15%.

4) The purity of the copper using as cladding shall be 99.9% pure copper.

5) the Copper Ground Rod will be capable of being through 90 at a maximum radius if 100mm with no copper fracture and with no ill effect on the bond between the steel and the copper cladding.

6) Good in anticorrosion that usage-life is more than 50 years or more, constant low resistance and good plasticity which had the characteristics of copper as well as steel
