Building water supply pp-r pipe is an internationally advanced environmental and energy-saving piping product and has below characteristics:
Light in weight: its density is 0.89~0.92g/cm³, 1/9 that of steel pipes and 1/10 that of brass pipes. Because of the light weight, it can greatly reduce the transporting expenses and the installation working intensity.
Sanitary and non toxic: pp-r pipe is a green environmental friendly product, free from drug and pollutions.
Long service life: Under normal environment and 10kg/ cm³working pressure, its service life is longer than pipes made of other materials.
Good high temperature resistance: it can keep long-term use in 70°C water temperature and short time use in 95°C.
Excellent anticorrosion: It has no chemical reaction with most ions in water and chemical materials in buildings. It will not get rusty, corrode and produce bacteria.
Low thermal coefficient: thermal coefficient is 0.23~0.24W/MK at 20°C, lower than that of steel pipes(43~52W/MK). So, pp-r pipe has excellent heat preservation property.
Low pipeline flowing resistance: pipeline inner surface is smooth; no scaling; friction coefficient is only 0.007, much lower than that of steel pipelines.
Firm pipeline connection: As polypropylene has good hot melt property, hot melt connection could connect the pipes and fittings made of the same material into a unity, which avoids the risk of water leakage.
Recyclable: As it has no pollution to the environment during production, installation and using with waste material recyclable, pp-r pipe is a green product.
