Our Sphagnum moss comes from Southern China where local farmers grow moss in the mountains. The live moss is harvested manually and dried before sorting.  Moss growing and harvesting has been a tradition for many years and is a sustainable crop.

Sphagnum moss has unique characteristics and can be used for many purposes:

Sphagnum moss has long leaves (from 5-15 cm lenght) and has a large water holding capacity. It can absorb up to 15 times its dry weight and will stay wet for a long period.Sphagnum moss has fertilizing properties and will improve the soil  Has a good Natural color - grey-green-golden yellow.Use as hanging basket liner for flower pots and planters.Growing medium for young Orchids and flowersUse for terrariums as a good substrate for Frogs, Snakes, Tarantulas and Amphibians4 grades available – A ,2A, 3A, 4A.Packing in different sizes: 100g, 250g, 500g, 1kg, 2kg, 5kg, 10kgCompressed into bricks or loose compressed in bags/bales. Contact us for other packing sizes.
