The SmartAX MA5605 Multi-service Access Module is a mini digital subscriber line access multiplexer (Mini-DSLAM) device.

SHDSL is implemented based on ITU-T Recommendation G.991.2.The MA5605 supports 2-wire SHDSL. The upstream rate ranges from 192 Kbit/s to 2304 Kbit/s, and the downstream rate is 2312 Kbit/s. In 2-wire mode, the rate adjustment granularity is 64 Kbit/s.The MA5605 supports 16-port SHDSL access.SHDSL supports a maximum reach of 6 km.The MA5605 supports the network timing reference (NTR) clock.The MA5605 supports Ethernet and E1/V.35 access.The MA5605 supports auto rate adjustment according to the line conditions during theinitialization.The MA5605 supports configuration, modification and query of the SHDSL line profileparameters.The MA5605 supports report of the alarms and maintenance messages of the line.
