Card-type Protocol Converter
E1-10/100Base-TX Protocol Converter (Vispace 5000 HPT series) are the equipment that extend Ethernet through telecommunication line( E1 or network carrying E1, such as PDH, SDH, micro-wave, etc). It is also called Network Bridge. It changes Ethernet frame into E1 to transmit. And then it changes E1 into Ethernet frame at the other port. So Ethernet data can transmit in telecommunication network based on E1. It can make effective use of the remaining bandwidth of telecommunication line. The additional investment is a little. It can operate at any time.
Functional Features:
1. E1 port supports both framing and non-framing mode. Under framing, it supports the transmission rate at N×64kbit/s(N=1-30), the highest effective rate can be at 1984kbit/s. It can provide remote network management function. Under non-framing, the rate can be at 2048kbit/s.
2. Ethernet port follows the standard of IEEE802.3802.3u, supports 10/100M, full-/half- duplex auto-negotiation. It can force rates and duplex mode, support 802.3x flow controlling mode and transparent transmission of data that follows Ethernet protocol such as IEEE802.1qVLAN,802.1p ,etc.
3. Frame-length range that can transmit is from 64 to 2024 bit, it can filter ultra long, ultra short and CRC wrong pack, at the same time realizes to filter the local Ethernet address, and support the performance statistic of Ethernet electric port.
4. It provides simple E1 testing operation mode. Pseudo random sequence can be emitted through E1, which can make an error code test on E1 transmission link. E1 port has local loop back and terminal loop back function, E1 clock can choose local and track main timing mode, support PCM30/31 framing mode.
5. Operator can set time spacing of E1, operation mode of Ethernet port through network management and dial-bit switch.
