High performance UD PE bullet proof (Unidirectional) fabric is characterized by its extremely the highest tenacity( its tenacity is 15 times over steel, 40% stronger than aramid and 10 times over normal chemical fiber), the highest energy absorption and fastest shock wave dissipation, lightweight, high degree of orientation and high crystallization. Besides its also low density, low moisture sensibility and waterproof, high modulus of elasticity, high specific energy absorption, UV resistance, corrosion resistance, outstands anti-impact and anti-incision. Nowadays, the UHMWPE fiber is widely used in ballistic field.
We also developed a new fiber called UHMWPE/carbon nanotue composite fiber which inherits all the features of ordinary PE fabric. At the same time it improved the creep and heat resistance which is inherent disadvantage of PE fiber. The service life could be extended to 10 years.
Bulletproof Unidirectional fabric can promptly distribute energy of bullet on a large area so as to reduce depth of concavity of bulletproof materials so that non-penetration injury can be therefore reduced. Besides, this fabric can absorb bullet's shock and block smashed bullet pieces to prevent secondary injury. It is therefore the advanced ideal soft bulletproof composite material.
