Extrusion by the compounder and injection molding require temperatures of up to 220 °C, but cycloaliphatic brominated flame retardants like hexabromocyclododecane are not
stable at these temperatures.TSHBCD flame retardant contains proprietary thermal stabilizer
systems that improve thermal stability.

Application:
ST-HBCD flame retardant is designed for use in injection-molded,high-impact polystyrene applications that are required to pass the IEC 695-2-1/2.Glow Wire test from 750° to 960 C (1.6 and 3.2 mm) and UL94 V2 (1.6 and3.2 mm). The IEC 695-21/2 fire retardant standard is mainly used in electrical applications.
UL94 V2 is used in the highimpact polystyrene business equipment housing
market.STHBCD flame retardant is also designed for use in extruded polystyrene foam applications.
