A wide selection of materials are available to meet UL® subject 94V-0 Standards for flame resistance. Others are classified as Class A building materials with flame spread ratings in the 15 to 25 range. Certain grades of frp composite materials generate very low smoke and smoke toxicity when exposed to fire. |
Heat Resistance Heat resistant grades of our engineered plastic composites offer property retention and dimensional stability at elevated temperatures. Frp material grades are available to meet or exceed UL temperature index ratings of 120°C to 210°C electrical and 130°C to 210°C mechanical. |
Abrasion and Impact Resistance Our reinforced plastic engineered composites can withstand the effects of abrasion and impact better than most conventional materials such as hardwood and other thermoplastic or thermoset panels. |
Corrosion Resistance These reinforced plastic materials are ideal for use where clean and attractive surfaces are desired and corrosion resistance is required. Our engineered composites are tested with as many as 49 common laboratory reagents that prove to be equally resistant to splash-and-spill, as well as flame and gasses. |
Ease of Fabrication Our laminate sheets, channels, bars, rods and shapes can be fabricated using common tools and equipment. They can be punched, drilled, milled, sawed, sanded, sheared or routed. |
