Properties:
White cyrstalline powder, soluble in water and light alkali solution easily, but not soluble in alcohol and acid. Its water solution pH is more than 7. it has strong alkalinity. when exposed to air, moisture will be absorpted. It have good performance of deterge, emulsifying, dispersing, wetting, penetrability and pH buffering.

Applications:
Sodium metasilicate has strong alkalinity and good buffering ability. It can neutralize acidic dirty, emulsify grease and oil, and provide corrosion proofing to metals. It is a basic material for the detergent industry, widely used in home and industrial detergent, such as detergent powder, food cleaner, metal cleaner, washing carbonated drink bottles, printing aid for textile, deinking recycled paper, etc.

Storage: Store in a cool, and well ventilated area away from all source of ignition and out of direct sunlight. Store in a dry location away from heat. Store at temperatures less than 40°C.
