As a solids control equipment of the second stage in drilling operation, desander is used to remove harmful solid particles of 40-74µm in drilling liquid. Suspending particles can be separated from the liquid under the centrifugal acceleration, by use of working principle of centrifugal subsidence.
At present time, four types, ZQJ300×2/ZQJ250×2 and ZQJ300×1/ ZQJ250×1,are available. The former applies to over 3000-meter-long drills, and the latter applies to small drills of less than 3000 meters and service rig.
Working Principle
When passing through the feed manifold, the pressured drilling fluid flow into the hydrocyclone in the direction of a tangent and spirally revolve downwards with high-speed. The drilling fluid bleed into mud tank through overflow gate and the solid in the mud is cut into the underflow that is drained to shaker screen due to the centrifugal generated by revolution.
