Flowers ceramsite is a kind of newly developed substrate, which take clay as the main raw material then add another 14 kinds of compound which are necessary for plants growth, which are firstly processed into spherical granules then sintering under the high temperature about 850°C. Crumb size uniform material, pink or red ,with much interface inside, usually has the structure like a honeycomb, light and can float on the pure water, it is good soilless matrix culture. Ceramsite has many micropore from the surface to the centre and has certain mechanical strength and high water absorption ability and breathable and keeps fertilizer good. Small particle packing together to form a number of hole, which are good for ventilate and the movement of water which will not cause harden. There will not have any dust under dry condition and will not fly apart after bubble water and no any muddy water, so this matrix is much better than natural soil. Flowers in vase which planted by it or other transparent glass vase are eutrophy and no dust, muddy water or offensive smell.
