Characteristics
1) Excellent skimming performance.
a) High recovering rate.
b) Recovers all viscosity oil.
c) Self-inducing oil spill to the skimmer.
d) Large sweeping width: It can advance-skim oil spill by itself; it also can be V-towed to skim with large sweeping width to deal with a large area spill. (see page 5)
e) Self-separation for oil/water mixture.
f) High storage capacity for recovered oil: It has a pump to transfer recovered oil to other containers, for example floating tanks towed by the boat, to increase storage capacity.
Multipurpose
g) Tow booms.
h) Clean rubbish on water.
i) Spray oil dispersant.
3)High maneuverability
j) It can sail itself or be transferred by a truck to spill site.
k) Light weight because of aluminum boat hull.
l ) Low maintenance cost: It can be stored on jetty or in warehouse.
m) Low crew cost: It needs only 3 operators when dealing with spill and no persons when stored.
