Installing the BatteriesHold the aluminium casing firmly in one hand and turn the end cap in a counter-clockwise direction until fully unscrewed. Pull the end cap away from the casing and this will reveal the battery compartment. Place the batteries into the compartment ensuring that the end marked with plus (+) pole goes in first, pointing towards the bezel of the flashlight With the batteries correctly installed replace the casing and turn it in a clockwise directio nuntil fully tightened. The flashlight is now ready to be charged.
Charging the FlashlightThis flashlight is equipped with either an adpator that can be charged in a standard 110V-240V AC wall socket power outlet, or a car charger that can be charged in a 12V power/cigarette lighter socket in car.To charge the flashlight, you first need to open up the white rubber cover on charging port, plug the DC pin into the charging port of the flashlight,and plug the adaptor into power outlet. The flashlight now is charged.While the flashlight is charging an indicator on the body of flashlight will glow red. When this turns green it shows that the flashlight is now ready for use and so can be removed from adpator.
IMPORTANT: Please read the following points regarding the performance/maintenance of your flashlight1, Be careful not to apart the flashlight bezel from casing when flashlight is turning on; Do not touch the gold contacts on the front of body or rest them against anything conductive as this could cause a short circuit.2, If you do not intend to use the flashlight for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent them leaking and damaging the flashlight.2, Be aware that the charge will drain from rechargeable batteries over time and that this is a natural property of them, not a fault. Please charge and discharge the flashlight at least once per three months.4, This flashlight may also be powered by four standard D alkaline batteries but you must never try to recharge these or mix them with rechargeable ones as they could explode.5, Rechargeable batteries have a limited lifespan so when the batteries can no longer be charged or the discharge time is too short then you will need to replace them. When replacing either rechargeable or normalbatteries you should always change them all at the same time, never using new and used batteries together and only using high quality ones of the same type and brand.6, Be aware that using the flashlight in high or low temperatures will quicken the battery discharge and so reduce the burn time.7, In case the indicator turns red during your usage, it means the power of battery is under 10%, please recharge the flashlight immediately as excessive discharge can shorten rechargeable battery life.8, Only use the supplied power adaptor otherwise you risk damaging your torch or batteries.
Multi-Mode Switch OperationThis flashlight is equipped with six different modes of operation:High Beam (100%): For indoor, outdoor or long distance illumination.Stepless Dmming (1%-100%): Enables you to select the exact level of brightness that you require.Low Beam: For close illumination, such as reading, repairing, or identification.Strobe Light (12Hz): For signalling in a rescue situation, self-defence from attack or fun party lighting.Thunderbolt Strobe: For use as a high visibility warning or distress beacon.SOS Signal: For use in rescue situations, this mode will continually flash the international Morse code signal for SOS.To access the different modes first switch the flashlight on by fully pressing the switch until it engages. The flashlight will always start at full power and to change the mode you will need to lightly press and release the switch, which will then cycle through each mode in turn. To use the stepless dimming function you will first need to access the high beam mode, then keep the switch lightly held until the required brightness is achieved. Releasing the switch will then maintain the current level of brightness.
Sliding Optical FocusThis flashlight is equipped with a sliding optical focus system that allows you to choose between a long beam that is ideal for seeing far into the distance or a wide beam which illuminates more of the surrounding area. To adjust this you’ll need to hold the flashlight normally with the aluminium casing and then pull the crenulated bezel forward to produce a long beam or push it back to produce a wide beam.
Lantern / Candle FunctionThe flashlight can be used as a candle to illuminate a room during a power failure. Select the high beam and then carefully balance the flashlight on its end on a flat secure surface. Pointing the flashlight at the ceiling the light will be reflected around the room. It can also be used as a lantern when camping or outdoors by hanging it in your tent or from a tree.
Tactical Crenulated BezelAlthough not designed to replace a professional life saving hammer, in an emergency the flashlight can be used to break glass. For best results use strong physical force and angle the flashlight correctly. The crenulated bezel also allows the flashlight to be used for self defence purposes.
