Instructions for CUBIC Chain Bracelet with SATIN, SUEDE, JUTE, LEATHER CORDS

Cut 6”length of cup chain, 24”length of Suede lace, and 24”length of waxed cotton cord in the color of your choice with scissors.Fold the length of suede lace in half to form a loop on one end(loop should be big enough to slip a knot through to secure your finished bracelet to your wrist). By folding the lace in half, it will create the “Channel” that the cup chain will sit on top of when wrapping your bracelet.Run the tip of the waxed cotton cord upwards along the suede lace towards the loop. Then wrap the base of the loop at least 5-6times, working downwards in the opposite direction. This will secure the waxed cotton cord and is the start of the bracelet.Place the cup chain in the center of the Suede lace so it gently sits on top of the “Channel”. Line the end of the cup chain up with the end of the waxed cotton cord from step 3.Holding the cup chain in place, Begin wrapping the waxed cotton cord around the suede lace and cup chain alternating between the spaces separating each cubic on the chain. Be sure to wrap tightly so the bracelet doesn’t unravel.Continue wrapping until you have reached the end of the cup chain. When you have reached the end, wrap the waxed cotton cord around the suede lace 2~3 more times. Tie a knot with all three strands and trim excess. Then your Bohemian Bracelet is completed.

Instructions for Basic Knot Bracelet:

1. *Choose 2 colors of waxed cotton cord. One color will be used for your base cords. With scissors,*cut 24” length of this cord (this color will not be the color of the bracelet). The other color will be as your “active cords.” Cut 48” length of this cord (this will be the color of the bracelet).

2. Fold each color strand of cord in half. Line up the two looped ends and tie into one knot, creating one loop at the top of your strands.

3. Tape the knotted end of the cords to your work surface.Pull the middle two strands (they are your base strands) straight and tape them down as well.

4. Fold the RIGHT stand OVER the base strands and UNDER the left strand (creating a backwards “4”).

5. Next, bring the LEFT strand UNDER the base strands and OVER the right strand (creating a “4”).

6. Pull tightly on both outside strands to knot.

7. Next, fold the LEFT strand OVER the base strands an UNDER the right strand.

8. Bring the RIGHT strand UNDER the base strands an UNDER the right strand.

9. Pull tightly on outside strands to knot.

10. Repeat in this fashion until the bracelet fits your wrist.

11. Tie a knot at the end and trim excess cording. Your basic knot bracelet is now complete!

(To add beads to your bracelet, simply string a bead of your choice through the two base cords. Then continue knotting around that bead. For multiple beads, follow this same step keeping one knot between each bead.)

Suede Wrapped Bracelet

Cut a piece of suede approximately 2 feet long (we call this Suede 1). Save the remaining 2 feet of suede – you will need it in step 2. Thread Suede 1 through the first link of the chain until you have reached the very middle of the suede. Tie a knot.Take your remaining piece of suede (we call this suede 2) and thread through the first link of the chain until you have reached the very middle of suede 2You will start on the right side. Keep Suede 1 resting along the right side of the chain – all the way to the end. * make sure chain is flat and to follow the direction of the chain so that the stitch works properly you will then start your under-over stitch. Suede 2 starts “under” the chain – take Suede 2 over Suede 1 and then into the next link on the chain.

Then you are going to come from “under” again, in which you take Suede 2 “over” Suede 1, and then into the next line on the chain. Make sure you are pulling 2 cording tightly and that 1 is not twisting.

You will repeat these steps until you get to the end of the chain on the right side. Tie a double knot on the last link using Suede 1 and Suede 2.

4.Repeat steps above on the left side of the bracelet.

5.Cut off excess cording on both sides of the bracelet. Chain includes lobster clasp closure in order to

secure on your wrist.
