Shielding effect test
On the basis of GJB 6190-2008, the shielding effect of all kinds of aramid paper has reached over 90db.
Aramid composites are the advanced materials with the characteristic of high strength, low elongation, high temperature and fire resistance, chemical resistance, and high insulation. To this day, there is no other material can exceeding it. Aramid composites materials are the desirable and key materials for some domestic applications, such as big planes, helicopters, high-speed train, and manned spaceflight, etc.
The common aramid honeycomb and circuits board are all made of aramid paper .After the course of many times’ practice and development, the quantity of aramid paper and composites materials has presented a explosive growth since 2010 all over the world.
CHARACTERISTICS:
---Thermostability
The aramid composites can be constantly used for more than ten years without aging under the temperature as high as 220°C and they have excellent dimensional stability. Under 250°C it shrinks only 1%; even being exposed under 300°C, it will not shrink, embrittle, soften or melt; under about 400°C, they begin to carbonize.
---Fire Resistance
Aramid composites’ LOI is over 28. They have self-extinguishment and their surface will carbonize then they are burned under high temperature, which help prevent the fiber burning in the air and form a heat-insulation protective layer without molten drop.
---Chemical Stability
Aramid paper is almost compatible with all electric varnishes and binder, also corrosion resisting (most chemicals), hydrolytic resistance, steam corrosion resistance.
---Excellent Electrical Characteristics
Aramid composites possess very low dielectric constant. The dielectric helps keep the good insulation in both high and low temperature as well as in wet condition. The breakdown voltage of meta-aramid insulation paper can be up to 20,000 voltage/mm. Because of the good thermostability, their electric property can be perfectly kept even under high temperature.
---Radiation Resistance
Aramid composites enjoy excellent performances in resisting radiation from ß,α and γrays. For example, meta-aramid composites can keep 73% of the strength under the radiation of 50Kv’s γ-ray for 100 hours.
---Mechanical Property
Aramid composites have very outstanding mechanical property. For example, aramid honeycomb composites enjoy the unique rebound resilience and can also absorb vibration power. They can endure the great pressure under 300t/m2.
---Light Weight
Aramid fiber’s material is 20% lighter than carbon fiber and 40% lighter than glass fiber, but three times the toughness of fiberglass. The composite materials made of aramid fiber like honeycomb plates have the weight only 1/6 of those aluminum plates with same density.
