air to water heat pump for low temperature weather  

Equipment description

1. For fully automatic heating of heating water to a flow temperature of 55°C.

2. Suitable for under floor heating and radiator heating system; preferred are now temperature heating systems, as these achieve higher performance factors.

3. Extracts energy form the ambient air(outside) even at outside temperatures as low as -20°C.

4. Comprises all components required for its function and all safety equipment.

5. Central control of the heating system and safety functions through the controller.

6. Filled with non-combustible safety refrigerant R417a.

Function

1. Heat is extracted from outside air with temperatures ranging from 43°C to -20°C by the heat exchanger on the air side (evaporator).

2. Heating water is heated in the heat exhanger on the water side(condenser) to flow temperature by this extracted heat and added heat from the electrical power used by the compressor. At air temperatures below approx 7°C, the humidity in the air condenses as hair-frost on the evaporator fins.

3. This hair-frost is automatically removed.

4. The heat pump automatically reverts to heating mode at the end of the defrost phase.
