Characteristic PPS-hGR20/30/40/50/60 (natural color) and PPS-hGR21/31/41/51/61 (black) is glass fiber reinforced based on the PPS resin. It owns good mechanical properties, high creep resistance, high temperature resistance, friction resistance, flame resistance, chemical resistance, excellent electrical insulation properties, arc resistance, low mold shrinkage, easy processing good dimensional stability, and radiation resistance. Applications It can be widely used to make elements where high temperature resistance, electrical insulation are all important in aviation; Anticorrosion valves and electrical insulating parts; Precise plugs, outer shells and high temperature resistant contactors; Electric parts, terminal and switch; Carburetor, distributor, igniter, slide block, gears, thermocouple, piston rings with requirement of high temperature resistance and precision dimension; Hot-air tube, crisping iron, hair curler, coffeepot. Processing Conditions Suitable for injection molding. PPS is highly crystallization polymer. Therefore, in molding process, stress concentration, which brought on by rotation angle and changes of wall thickness, should be considered. 1. Pre Drying: Temperature: 110~140oC Time: 3~5hr 1.1 metal inserts should be preheated. Temperature: 130~140oC Time: 1hr (constant temperature) 1.2 natural colored compounds should be pre-dried in the same condition in order to get the even colour after molding. 2. Injection: Mold: 100~150oC Cylinder: Zone 1: 270~290oC Zone 2: 300~320oC Zone 3: 300~320oC Nozzle: 290~320oC Injection pressure: 50~100MPa Injection speed: Medium speed. In order to get a nice-quality appearance, it allows a high speed. Yet please avoid some defects like warp and scorch. Back pressure: 0.1~1.0MPa Screw speed: 40~100 r/min Injection time: Depend on the sizes of articles 3. Post processing: Depend on the sizes of articles Processing temperature: 160~180oC Processing time: 2~24hr (depends on the content of glass fiber)
