Rapid FSH Urine Strip Test CE Marked
DETECTION PRINCIPLE
Diagnos FSH rapid test is a chromatographic immunoassay in-vitro diagnostic test for the qualitative detection.It adopts the principles of double antibody sandwich method to test the FSH in the urine.
SPECIMEN COLLECTION
1. Fresh urine does not require any special handing or pretreatment. Testing should be performed as soon as possible after the specimen collection, preferably during the same day.
2. The specimen may be refrigerated at 2-8°C for 3 days or frozen at -20°C for a longer period of time. Specimens that have been refrigerated must be equilibrated to room temperature prior to testing. Specimens previously frozen must be thawed, equilibrated to room temperature, and mixed thoroughly prior to testing.
TEST PROCEDURE
1. To begin testing; open the sealed pouch by tearing along the notch.. Remove the test form the pouch.
2. Immerse the strip into the urine with the arrow end pointing towards the urine. Do not immerse past the MAX (maximum) line. Take the strip out after 3 seconds and lay the strip flat on a clean, dry, nonabsorbent surface (e.g., mouth of the urine container).
3. Wait for colored bands to appear. Depending on the concentration of hCG in the test specimen, positive results may be observed in as short as 40 seconds.However to confirm negative results, the complete reaction time (5 minutes) is required. Do not read results after 10 minutes.
Interpretation of Results:
POSITIVE: Two lines are visible and the test line (T) is the same as or darker than the control line (C). A positive result indicates that FSH levels are higher than normal and the subject you may be experiencing peri-menopause.
NEGATIVE: Two lines are visible, but the test line (T) is lighter than the control line (C), or there is no test line. A negative result indicates that the subject is probably not experiencing peri-menopause in this cycle.
INVALID: Control line (C) fails to appear. Insufficient specimen volume or incorrect test performance are the most likely reasons for an invalid result. Review the procedure and repeat with a new test. If the problem persists, discontinue using the test kit immediately and contact your local distributor.
