Due to the action of electric field, the electrolytic solution generates oxygen gas in the anode compartment and hydrogen gas in the cathode compartment.
Due to continuous electrolysis, the pressure of hydrogen gas rises to keep a relatively high pressure. However, oxygen gas is released to the atmosphere and it is at the status of normal pressure.
Hydrogen production through water electrolysis only consumes water and electric energy, hydrogen gas is produced in the field and the water for electrolysis is added when the instrument runs, supplied as hydrogen gas is produced. The instrument has advantages such as convenient to operation, easy to maintain, hydrogen production automatically adjusted according to hydrogen quantity, low hydrogen production cost and so on. It can replace high-pressure hydrogen gas cylinder with explosive hazard, providing extremely convenience especially in the remote areas and for users who cannot use high-pressure gas cylinders.
The hydrogen generator consists mainly of electrolyzer, electrolysis power supply, automatic control system, and electrolyte circuit and hydrogen purification system. Its main components are made of excellent-quality stainless steel material. Gas and liquid circuit structures are welded by argon arc welding.
The gas-water separator can effectively prevent the countercurrent flow of electrolytic solution. Under the action of electric field and electrolyte circuit, the electrolyzer generates hydrogen gas and oxygen gas. The hydrogen gas continuously spills out from the electrolyzer and gradually accumulates to make the pressure of hydrogen gas rise to 0.4MPa. However, the oxygen gas is discharged from the electrolyzer. The generator has these functions such as low water level alarm, automatic stop hydrogen production due to water shortage, stop hydrogen production due to excessive pressure of hydrogen gas and bleed-off security etc. The process of hydrogen generation through electrolysis only consumes distilled water and electric energy, thus convenient to use and supply.
