Applications

Cr12 die material is a new generation of economical cold-work die steel which is developed by optimizing and improving the chemical bassed on the 430 series of high-carbon high-chromium cold- work tool steel in the ASTM standard. It mainly meets the demands of the market for precise dies and accessories of medium service life. XFD3M features a small heat treatment deformation and high wear resistance(close to D3). The toughness of the steel is superior to D3 steel. The hardness can reach 58-64 HRC after heat treatment and can be used for the back plates of tools and dies, gauges and cutters.
