Basic Introduction

  Wood chips rotary dryer can sends the wood chips into the dry tube continuously by using screw conveyor. In the conveying and dispersing of high speed hot air, the water in the wet material can be evaporated efficiently. It mainly consists of air heater, feeder, airflow drying pipe, cyclone separator, fan, etc.

 Working Principle

 

Wood chips rotary dryer contains: heat furnace, feeding hole, rotating cylinder, filter cylinder, material conveying pipe, cooling tube and the discharging hole. The rotating cylinder is located in the driving roller which put the rotating cylinder in low speed motion by motor and underdrive conveyor. The feeding hole has been designed between the heat furnace and rotating cylinder, and there are stirring blades inside the rotating cylinder. At the connection place between the rotary cylinder and the filter cylinder there is equipped with a dam-board on which a small hole is opened. One end of the filter cylinder is linked together with rotating cylinder, the other end is connected with conveying pipe. There also designed stop dogs inside the filter cylinder and slag discharge holes at the bottom of the filter cylinder. One end of cooling tube is linked together with the conveying pipe by the blower; and the other end is connected with the discharging hole.

 

  Due to the above structure, the wood chip can be fully dried in rotating cylinder. Otherwise the wood chip have been scattered sufficiently again before being sent into the material conveying pipe, making the moisture evaporate fast. The stop dogs can block the impurities of wood chip, ensuring the quality of the wood chip. After being sent into the material conveying tube, in the function of spray wind pipe and rotary cylinder, the wood chip can be boiled and fluidized in the cylinder, and get fully contacted with the hot gas and finally complete drying.

Wood chip dryer can be widely used in the following industries: straw press briquettes fuel, charcoal machinery, wood chip granule fuel, sawdust press blocks, farming and animal husbandry engineering industry; it is able to dry agricultural cellulosic-based materials such as: corn straw, soybean straw, cotton straw, wheat straw, sorghum straw, wood chips, wood shaving, sawdust drying, ginkgo leaf drying and mulberry leaves drying, etc.
