The excitation power for the main generator(a revolving field machine) comes from a stationary-field machine whose rotor is mounted onthe shaft of the main machine. The components of the excitation aystem and the electronic voltage regulator are housed inside the generator itself. 1FC2 generators can be powered by diesel engines from any of the world's leasing manufacturers.
