Product Detail
This product is equivalent to Bentone34. Bentone-34.38.27. SD-1.SD-2 Claytone 40. HT. HY.AF Tixogel VP. VZ. MP150. MP100

Product Description:

801-B is a kind of organic bentonite high-efficient thixotropic gelatin which is applicable to the low, medium and high-polarity solvent system of the aliphatic, alkyl halides, vegetable oil, aromatic hydrocarbon, or the mixture solvent with the aromatic hydrocarbon and the vinegar, ketone, ester, aether, alcohol, etc. This model of product is equivalent to Bentone34.

Product Specifications:

Composition: organic amine derivative of montmorilloniteAppearance: fine light white powderMoisture(2hr.105°C)%: ≤3.5Granularity of dry powder (over 0.076mm)%: ≥95Piling density g/cm3 :≤0.43Loss by burning (1000°C)%: ≤35Heavy metal content: (pb).mg/kg ≤10Arsenic content: mg/kg ≤5

Usage:

The 801-B is used with the pre-gel and the dry powder methods, both which require the polarity activator (eg.,95% ethanol or methanol) to strengthen the viscosity reinforcement of the gelatin. The amount of the 801-B needed is 0.2-2.0% of the total amount of the system, and the activator needed is 45-50% of 801-B.

Pre-gel method(recommended): the process for making the pre-gel containing 10% 801-B is described as follows:

Solvent: 88-91% 801-B 8-6%: agitated at medium speed for 5-10 minutes. Polarity activator 4-3%: dispersed in high speed for 10 to 15 minutes.

The above pre-gel can be added in at any phase during pain mixing, preferably prior to grinding.

Applications:

Industrial paint, atomic ash, sealing gel, and casting coating.
