Body Binder for Pressed Ceramic Bodies

Nowadays, high quality clay becomes less and less, and the tile industries resolve the problems of low intensity and large broken rate of the pressed tile bodies. Focus on these problems, We have developed a new type efficient body binders for pressed ceramics bodies. The body binders can obviously increase the body’s intensity, reduce broken rate, raise the product rate and quality, and decrease the cost, especially suitable for the products with poor raw materials.

GR----1#	Brown or brown-black powder or granule; compound of inorganic salts and macromolecule; soluble in water easily, damp, non-odor. it can’t change the viscosity of body’s slurry.	Dosage>0.1%, the body strength increases 50~90%. Normal Usage: 1~4Kg for per ton dry powder
GR----6#	White powder or granule;  soluble in water easily,  non-odor, it can’t change the viscosity of body’s slurry.	Dosage>0.05%, the body strength increases more than 60%. Normal Usage: 0.5~1.8Kg for per ton dry powder

Application

The actual usage is based on the requirement of specific materials. The body binder should be added into the ball mill together with all the raw materials. The body binder is helpful to milling procedure, decreasing the water quantity and increasing the suspending stability of the slurry.controlling the moisture to 5~7% after the powder sprayed, Then press and shape.When the temperature is higher than 400~600°C, most of the body binders will burn out, without any detrimental effect to the final fired products, don’t make the body black.
