ASTM A692: Standard Specification for Seamless Medium-Strength Carbon-Molybdenum Alloy-Steel Boiler and Superheater Tubes

1. Scope

1.1 This specification covers a grade of medium-strength, seamless, carbon-molybdenum alloy-steel boiler and superheater tubes.

1.2 This specification covers tubes ½ in. (12.7 mm) to 5 in. (127.0 mm), inclusive, in outside diameter and 0.035 to 0.500 in. (0.89 to 12.7 mm), inclusive, in minimum wall thickness. Tubing having other dimensions may be furnished provided such tubes comply with all other requirements of this specification.
