 Galaxy S3 uses a different hdmi mhl cable.

If you already have a device such as a Galaxy S II or Nexus that has MHL/video out through the microUSB port then be aware, if you own the accessory that allows you to connect it to a HD display, IT WILL NOT WORK with the Galaxy S III.

The Galaxy S3 has a different pin connection so you need a different adapter, which you can buy here.

It works in exactly the same way but has the correct pin connections, so your S3 display will be shown on a HD monitor or TV.

If you too have an MHL enabled monitor like the one we demonstrated here, you will too need this accessory as the current microUSB MHL cables do not support the S3, it is hardware related rather than software.

Note: The galaxy S3 hdmi mhl cable is not backwards compatible either, so will not work with older handsets such as the SGS2, Nexus or Galaxy Note.

The HDTV Adapter allows you to view videos and  other media stored on your phone via a compatible HDTV.1. Connect one end of universal HDMI cable into the HDTV  Adapter (1) and then connect the other end to the HDMI port on your TV  (2).2. Connect your Travel Charger to  the HDTV Adapter (3).

  Use only for Samsung-approved chargers.  Unauthorised chargers may damage your device or cause the HDTV Adapter to  malfunction.  To save engergy, unplug the travel adapter  when not in use. The travel charger does no have a power switch, so you must  unplug the travel adapter from the electrical socket when not in use to avoid  wasting power. The device should remain close to the electrical socket while  charging.

3. Connect your Travel Charger to an approved  power source (4).4. Connect the HDTV  Adapter connector into the Power/Accessory Interface port on your device (5).  This is the same port that you normally use to connect to your Travel  Charger.5. The TV screen will instantly  display what is on your device home screen. Note

Any incoming calls or messages will freeze the  media output. The media will restart to play after taking the calls or  acknowledging the messages.Some devices may not be  compatible.HDTV may not display any image when you  connect HDTV Adapter to the Desktop dock while your phone is  docking.If your TV has multiple HDMI ports, you may  use any of the ports.
