Magnsium hydrate is generally considered as an excellent flame retardant in the field of rubber-palstic industry for its triple functions-flame retarding, smoke-restaining, stuffing. Its molecular formula is Mg(OH)2 and the molecular weight is 58.32. It is a kind of nontoxic, odorless, high stability, non volatile, smoke-restaining, high decomposition temperature product, which doesnt corrode equipments. It is the first selection for organic macromolecule polymer to realize its non halogenating flame

retarding.

Magnsium hydrate flame retardants, by releasing hydrate water and absorbing a large amount of latent heat, reduce the surface tempreture of the synthetic materials stuffed in the flame, restrain polymer from decomposing, and have cooling fuction to flammable gas.
