Physical and chemical properties: cartap hydrochloride is a colorless crystal solid. M.P.: 179~181(decomposition). Its vapor pressure can be neglect. Solubility(25): about 200g/L in water, soluble slightly in ethanol or methanol. Its purity in technical is 98%. It is stable under the condition of acidity. It is easy to hydrolyze under neutral and alkali mediums. The product has strong water-absorbing quality. Though it is sensitive to damp but is has no corrosion.

Applications: cartap hydrochloride can make hexapod anesthesia. It can be used for preventing and curing rice-stem borer, rice leaf roller, mole cricket, leafhopper, agromyzidae on vegetable, flea beetle and diamondback moth on potato.
