Characteristics1 colloidal Silica  belongs to adhesive ,liquid silica.

2 It is odorless, tasteless and non-toxic.

3 Its chemical molecular formula is mSiO2.nH2O.

4 Since the colloid grains are minute (10-20nm) and have relatively larger specific surface area, the grains themselves are colorless and transparent, so they do not affect the natural color of the materials to be covered.

5 With low viscosity, it can soak the places where water soaks, therefore, it shows excellent dispersion and permeability when  mixed with other substances.

6  When the moisture contained in colloidal silica is evaporated, the colloid grains firmly adhere to the material surface and the combination of silicon and oxygen is then formed between grains. It is a good adhesive. Usage

Battery industry: silica sol can be used in the battery industry. Add the silica sol to battery electrolyte, generate the electric properties of gel type colloidal electrolyte, can prevent the electrolyte stratified and leakage, and gel improved strength after colloid stable, with thixotropy. Can reduce pollution. Can enhance battery system water-retaining property ,make the battery can be used under the environment of high temperature, and extend the service life of the battery. Battery special high purity silica sol solid content 20%-30%, iron ion content is low, chlorine content is very low, very low impurity content.

5.Silica sol have high specific surface area, and can be used in the catalyst manufacture and catalyst carrier. In the catalyst production, silica sol in certain conditions, as a carrier to speed up the catalytic speed, improve production efficiency.
